As a manufacturer, we supply conventional resharpenable solid planer knives in high-grade 18% HSS and carbide – manufactured in the EU, not imported from the Far East. Available in all standard sizes such as 20 × 3, 30 × 3 and 35 × 3 mm, as well as in custom designs with holes, grooves, and slots. Other lengths, widths, and cutting angles can also be made to order.
For sawmills and planing mills, what ultimately matters is the cost per linear metre: solid planer knives have a low initial cost, but every knife change takes time – removal, sharpening, adjustment, and running in. This is right where our alternative comes in.
