Carbide Indexable Inserts
Our range includes standard and special indexable inserts in various carbide grades.
Our range also includes special indexable inserts for helical cutterheads for planing and woodworking machines. Different dimensions, cutting edge geometries and carbide grades enable a targeted match in all versions to solid wood, MDF, HDF and other wood-based materials.
HC05, HC20, HC27, HC35
The most commonly used carbide grade for indexable inserts and blanks. It is suitable for all materials currently processed in the wood industry and is considered the standard in terms of price and performance.
MG06
The higher hardness compared to HC05 enables up to 20% longer tool life when machining MDF.
SMG02
An even harder grade with 50% longer tool life compared to MG06 when machining MDF and HDF.
UMG04
The extreme hardness is a challenge for diamond-tipped tools. Tests have shown 3x the tool life compared to SMG02 and 9x compared to standard grades. UMG04 is a very economical alternative to PCD when you consider the significantly reduced financial risk in the event of tool damage.
MG18
Due to its material structure, MG18 is the optimum for 45° cutting angles. It enables a hard, sharp and wear-resistant cutting edge. This carbide grade is ideal for machining solid wood while also providing longer tool life.
HE40
This carbide grade was developed as an alternative to HSS and other materials. The material offers extreme edge retention with cutting angles up to 55° at a carbide-typical hardness. This far surpasses HSS and other materials in terms of cutting performance, tool life and the quality of the machined surface, especially in softwood.
KCR08
New special chrome-carbide grade:
- Covers 99% of all applications
- More precise cutting-edge design possible thanks to submicron grade
- High corrosion resistance due to the addition of chrome
